From the 22-th to 28-th of March, selection and training camps for the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics and the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics were held in Wrocław.
The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) is a week-long international competition for girls interested in computer science. The Olympiad program includes two contest days during which participants solve challenging algorithmic problems. Each participating country is allowed to form a delegation of four contestants. This year, the Olympiad will take place from the 12-th to 18-th of May in Cesenatico, Italy.
The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) is an international competition for young school students taking their first steps in the world of programming. The main goal of this educational event is to encourage the younger generation’s interest in IT, promote the culture of competitive programming in Europe, and identify and support the most talented young specialists in this field. Students who have not reached the age of 15 by December 31 of the academic year are eligible to participate. This year, the Olympiad will take place from the 24-th to 30-th of July in Kaunas, Lithuania. Since Ukraine is a co-organizer of this year’s Olympiad, its team has the opportunity to be represented by eight junior contestants.

Daria Perekopska, an 11th-grade student at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);
Anastasiia Yaremko, an 11th-grade student at the Lviv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);
Mariia Rapina, a 10th-grade student at Kharkiv Academic Lyceum No. 45 (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk and Mykola Arzubov);
Tetiana Zadniprovska, a 10th-grade student at Lyceum No. 1 named after Volodymyr Krasytskyi of the Khmelnytskyi City Council (coach: Andrii Popyk).

Benedykt Kvasnytsia, a 7th-grade student at Lviv Lyceum No. 52 (coaches: Yaroslav Pyrih and Kyrylo Hrynevych);
Maksym Bondarenko, a 9th-grade student at Boyko Author’s School (coaches: Oleksandr Mitsa and Serhii Vapnichnyi);
Illia Denysiuk, a 9th-grade student at Khmelnytskyi Lyceum No. 17 (coach: Andrii Popyk);
Denys Ilienkov, a 9th-grade student at Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium No. 65 (coach: Oleksandr Abramenko).
