From the 23-rd to the 27-th of February, the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IAIO) 2026 was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Olympiad brought together 95 participants from 24 countries.


The Ukrainian national team won one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.

The Ukrainian national team included:


  • Kseniia Strelbytska, an 11-th grade student of theVinnytsia Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 17, won a gold medal;

  • Rostyslav Yabchenko, a 10-th grade student of the Kyiv Lyceum No. 145, won a silver medal;

  • Vladyslav Khalin, a 10-th grade student of the Kharkiv Lyceum No. 118, won a silver medal;

  • Roman Mielamud, an 11-th grade student of the Mariupol Lyceum of the City of Kyiv, won a bronze medal.

The team leaders were Anton Tsypko and Kyrylo Redenskyi. The trip was sponsored by Citadel. The organization was handled by the Ukranian Federation of Olympiad Programming.
