From the 25-th of September to the 1-st of October, 2025, the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI 2025) was held in Udine, Italy. The competition brought together 70 participants from 16 countries across Europe and beyond.
The Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) is an annual informatics competition for the countries of the Balkan Peninsula: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. Ukraine occasionally participates in this Olympiad as a guest country.

The members of Team Ukraine were:
🥈 Roman Melamud, an 11th-grade student at the Mariupol Lyceum in Kyiv (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk and Andrii Bykov), won a silver medal;
🥈 Vladyslav Khalin, a 10th-grade student at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 118 (coach: Valentyn Melnyk), won a silver medal;
🥉 Daria Perekopska, an 11th-grade student at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies (coach: Valentyn Melnyk), won a bronze medal;
🍀 Illia Shevchenko, an 11th-grade student at the Kharkiv Lyceum "Kharkiv School of Boiko" (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk, Oleksandr Mitsa, Mykola Arzubov), received a participant diploma.

The team leaders were Serhii Kolodiazhnyi and Maryna Nadtochii. The trip was organized by the Ukrainian Federation of Olympiad Programming. The trip was sponsored by Citadel.
