From the 6-th to the 12-th of May, a selection and training camp was held in Wrocław for the European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics and the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics.


The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) is an International Olympiad for girls interested in informatics. It lasts one week and consists of two competition days during which participants solve challenging algorithmic problems. Each participating country may send a delegation of four contestants. This year, the Olympiad will take place from 14-th to 20-th of July in Bonn, Germany.


The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) is an International Olympiad for young school students. The main goal of this educational event is to encourage the interest of younger students in IT, promote competitive software development across Europe, and recognise the best young talents in the field. All students who are under 15 years of age as 31-st of December of the academic year are eligible to participate. This year, the Olympiad will take place from 29-th of August to 5-th of September in Shumen, Bulgaria.



The national team selected for the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics includes:

  • Daria Perekopska, a 10th-grade student at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);

  • Olesia Denha, a 10th-grade student at Kremenchuk Scientific Lyceum "Polit" (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);

  • Viktoria Lavrova, a 11th-grade student at Kremenchuk Scientific Lyceum "Polit" (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);

  • Tetiana Zadniprovska, a 9th-grade student at Khmelnytskyi Lyceum No. 11 (coach: Andrii Popyk).

  • Vladyslav Khalin, a 9th-grade student at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 118 (coach: Valentyn Melnyk);

  • Roman Sadovnikov, a 8th-grade student at Dnipro Gymnasium No. 58 (coach: Oleksii Sadovnikov);

  • Vladyslav Vynnyk, a 9th-grade student at Kharkiv Academic Lyceum No. 45 (coach: Mykola Arzubov).
