From the 7-th to 13-th of July, 2025, the Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI) took place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The competition brought together 64 participants from 15 countries.
The Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI) is an annual informatics competition for countries in Central Europe: Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia, as well as guest countries. Ukraine has been participating in the Olympiad as a guest country since 2022.

The Ukrainian team won two silver medals and two bronze medals. The team members were:
🥈 Daria Perekopska, a 11th-grade student at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies (coach – Valentyn Melnyk);
🥈 Valerii Kovnatskyi, a graduate of the Kharkiv Lyceum "Kharkiv School of Boiko" (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk, Oleksandr Mitsa);
🥉 Illia Shevchenko, a 11th-grade student at the Kharkiv Lyceum "Kharkiv School of Boiko" (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk, Oleksandr Mitsa, Mykola Arzubov);
🥉 Stepan Simak, a graduate of the Kyiv Education Centre "Optima" (coach – Andrii Popyk).

The team leaders were Anton Tsypko and Oleksandr Mitsa. The trip was organized by the Ukrainian Federation of Olympiad Programming. The trip was sponsored by Citadel.
At this Olympiad, Ukraine was officially included in the list of permanent members of the Central European Olympiad in Informatics. This means that Ukraine is now a full member of the organization, with voting rights and guaranteed participation in all future Olympiads.
