Ukrainian Junior and Girls' Olympiads in Informatics

Since 2021 the Ukrainian Junior Olympiad in Informatics and the Ukrainian Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics have been held every year. The two run at the same time, on the same set of problems.

The junior olympiad is open to any school student in Ukraine — boys and girls alike — who is under 15 on 31 December of the current academic year. The girls’ olympiad is open to any girl in school.

Each year there are three qualifying rounds, held online with proctoring. The ten best in each category from every round reach the final, together with the eight best contestants of the Ukrainian Olympiad in Informatics who fall within the age limits.

The final is held in person and consists of two rounds. The strongest receive diplomas and the winner takes a cup. The twelve best in each category go to the selection camp, where the teams for the European Junior and European Girls’ Olympiads in Informatics are chosen.
